Nov 14, 2014 Friday Paro to Delhi India

The Paro airport is pretty small with lovely Bhutanese architecture inside.

The Bhutanese seem to love their king and his picture was everywhere we went.  The airport had a series of large pictures of all of their kings.

We had to walk out onto the tarmac to board the plane.  Everyone was taking lots of pictures.

Runway and the Paro Valley

Paro Airport

We were all in first class and seated close together so it was sort of a party.
Tara and Randy with Jessica in the back.
Banking hard to avoid the mountains.

Bhutan from the air is lovely.

Another monastery, perhaps.

Leaving Paro Valley.

The flight from Paro to Delhi paralleled the Himalayas for quite a ways before heading south into India.  Jessica sat next to a pilot and he told the names of many of the mountain peaks.
